Author Kate Mildenhall is a 'Gem' Mission ~ I will read her 2 books SKYLARKING & THE MOTHER FAULT

Updated: Sep 12, 2022

I was so happy to be made inclusive at a workshop that was held at Seawinds Community Hub and truly loved Kates down to earth vibe and the way her presentation flowed organically; it was amazing!

Did l feel as though l was sitting in a classroom? Absolutely! Did l love it? Yes!

Kate provided a wealth of knowledge on how to 'pitch and publish' a book and gave us an insight into how we can work towards reaching our desired outcome.

Let’s face it, ‘Pitching and Publishing’ a book is not easy, but with tips, tricks and a little thinking outside the box, anything is possible.

Trying to stay on course through the highs and lows when pursuing how too 'pitch and publish' a book can be exhausting but with new skills and knowledge, the challenge of wanting to keep moving forward is a challenge l am willing to take!

I have no doubt that team members of ‘Peninsula Writers Club’ would also agree that Kates workshop was not only informative and engaging, but lots of fun. It was a Sunday session that entailed listening to one another, laughing together, and communicating new and innovative ideas on how to move forward with our writing projects.

l can honestly say l am enjoying the process of stepping out of my comfort zone to open my mind to new opportunities and experiences and l am also very excited to be a member of such a wonderful writing community that support one another.

As an addition to learning, l encourage you to check out Kate and Katherines podcast about...the first time you publish a book. It is part reality show, part writers’ master class, and who knows what you can take away when tuning in. You can never know enough, there is always room to learn more! https://thefirsttimepodcast.com

In conclusion Andrea Rowe, President of Peninsula Writers Club described Kates workshop as ‘part masterclass' and ‘part magnificent hug of hope’. Just beautiful!
