My train trip into the city of Melbourne was made complete when l finished reading WHY THE FALLEN?

I was excited to meet Jane and Zac co-authors of WHY THE FALLEN? And as an addition to our face to face gathering at ‘Brunettis’ in the heart of Flinders Lane, we were also catching up with Mandy, Billy’s mum. Unfortunately, Billy couldn’t join us, but he was spoken of in high regard, and we all missed his presence.

Zac and Billy met in jail and mums Jane and Mandy connected whilst visiting their son’s.

During our chat session that was informative, inspiring, and insightful, for many reasons it was also a reality check. Topic of conversation was about drugs, alcohol and negative outcomes for the choices Zac had made in his life, but on the contrary, it was also a chat session about positive turning points and change for the better.

l was so happy to listen to Zac and tune in to what he shared with us about his past, present and what he is aspiring to achieve in the future.

An ex-prisoner and former drug addict Zac found his inner strength, courage, and self-belief system to realign, refocus and rejuvenate himself. Zac utilised his time in jail to reflect on himself and his past and co-wrote his first book with his mum Jane. A massive congratulations to Zac and Jane for being so raw, real, and honest and expressing yourselves wholeheartedly, the good, bad and the ugly in your book, WHY THE FALLEN?

Listening to Jane and Mandy, two mums share their thoughts and stories of what they have been subjected to by their sons Zac and Billy reiterated that any one of us can be involuntarily caught up in a situation that can leave you disheartened and disappointed by the actions of those we love.

Unfortunately, there are many families who are confronted with issues that involve drug addiction, alcohol, and negative outcomes that you wouldn’t wish upon anyone.

Zac’s story is real and after reading WHY THE FALLEN? l would highly recommend Zac to share his message and words of wisdom to teachers, parents, and teenagers Australia wide. I have no doubt you will walk away as l did with a little extra knowledge about the reality of what can happen when heavily under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

A true testament to Zac, he is on his way to be a better man and show us that change can happen when you are ready to be a positive turning point in your own life.

l applaud you Zac for your efforts to date and felt proud and honoured to meet with such a well-mannered and kind young man.

Lucky to have a second chance in life, l wish Zac every happiness today, and always.

I also wish for Billy to feel he is worthy of love, happiness, and new beginnings.

Thank you, Zac, for treating us Mumma bears to tea and coffee. Very kind of you and much appreciated.

Stay true to you Zac and remember you have nothing to prove because regrets are mistakes that we learn from and need to let go of.

To book in a date for Zac to speak at your next event or to purchase a copy of
